轉眼間，已到了工具巡禮(八)了。 亦是我們這次工具巡禮的最後一輯。

今次希望為大家介紹一些較簡單輕巧而實用，但又不為人留意的小工具。

第一種介紹的是鐵頭筆 stylus。 Stylus 都以不同形式出現。 不過最具特色，當然是那圓圓的鐵頭。 Stylus 有什麼用處? 第一用處，就是配合一些附有圖案的膠片，稱為stencils。用stylus 跟著圖案用力在紙張上畫一次。完成後，該圖案便會在紙張的背面凸出來。這叫做 dry embossing。有些會用上燈箱幫手來做 dry embossing，這樣一來比較容易方便看清圖案。想便宜一點，或可放置一枝燈在玻璃或透明書枱下照著亦可。除了dry embossing 之外，你更可用上stylus 做出漂亮整齊摺痕。 在需要摺疊的位置，用stylus 沿間尺劃上，跟著用間尺協助，便可做出整潔的摺疊位，這是做賀卡的必需工夫。

BONE FOLDER

跟著介紹的名叫bone folder。 這個名字的確很特別。 或許古代的bone folder 都以動物骨之類東西來製造，所以有了這個名稱吧。現代bone folder都已改用硬木或plastic製造了。Bone folder的用處在於把白膠漿之類膠水均衡地把scrapbook paper 和cardboard 貼合。用法先將白膠漿塗在chipboard album 上面，然後把scrapbook paper 放上去，跟著便可用bone folder在scrapbook paper上方斜斜地用力來回幾次，這樣便可撫平皺摺，並使白膠漿均衡地散佈於頁面內，將scrapbook paper 緊貼於chipboard album 上。

FOAM STICKERS EDGE SCRAPER

還有一些小工具，是用來製造一些特別效果的。例如，我們在不同圖案或title die-cuts 的背面加上foam stickers，這樣便可製造出立體、有層次的效果。很好用的一種方法。想加點vintage 的味道，可以用這個 edge scraper 來把 scrapbook paper 或 chipboard album 的四邊部份地方磨破，造出一本有懷舊味道的相簿頁面。最後，當然不可不提還是最好用的 self-healing cutting mat啦。 這應是手作人必備的工具吧。

今次的工具介紹的靈感是來自這幾星期開舖以來被客人問過最多的問題。就是怎樣用這些膠印章呢? (其實已經skip了先前另一條問題，就是 '這是貼紙嗎?' - 指著膠印說)

正因如此，我也希望在這個工具巡禮的環節說說膠印的用法。其實我也不是專家。我也是在一次偶然的機會下，一間專賣印章的店舖老闆娘教曉我的。所以也想在此和大家分享一下。

一般膠印章都會以一盒多款圖案的形式出售。主要原因是這樣的組合的價錢，也只不過跟一個木印章的價錢相約。所以膠印章非常抵玩。木印章最昂貴的是那plywood 做手握的地方。因此，一個木印章最少也需要數十塊元。雖然這樣，說到手感或外觀，木印章始終較優勝。不過要一一把它們收藏也不是易事。因此膠印也是一個不錯的選擇。

要使用膠印章，其實相當簡單。在除去包裝外殼後，先把前方的一片附有圖案的膠片peel off。這層膠片是用來展示膠印的圖案花紋。跟著便可慢慢地將所需的膠印章取出。第一次用時，印章都會附貼得較緊。只需小心慢慢將它取出便可。不用太擔心。對於較小的膠印，可簡單點將它放在一把透明膠間尺上。由於大家都屬膠性，會自動貼合，不須任何膠水幫助。跟著右手便可將印台在印章上上色。然後手握著膠間尺，好像是用木印般把圖案印在紙張或布料上。由於印章和膠間尺都是透明的關係，印的時候很容易對準位置，這是膠印章的另一最大好處。不過，對於較大的膠印章，便需要用上一些正統的acrylic stamp block 來做support，就像木印章的握手木頭一樣。

上兩次分別介紹了有關 punching 的工具。今次轉一轉題目，希望介紹這個由making memories設計的圓形切割器 circle cutter deluxe。

一般市面都很難找到好的圓形切割器，最近我在 LogOn買了一個日本牌子 OLFA 的圓形切割器輕便裝。不過，都發現一般圓形切割器出現的通病，就是在切割的過程中，控制圓心位置的小針都很容易因為用力的原故而鬆脫移位，做成一個並不正規的圓形剪裁。每次出現這種情況都使我十分氣憤。不知道是否應該再來一次，還是接受一個不太perfect的圓形。

不過，這個circle cutter deluxe 可以切割出直徑由2”至9'”大小的圓形。而它最大的好處便是那手抦(hand grip)設計。雖然看起上來，這個circle cutter有點笨重，不過別小看它中央的核心部分，只需捉緊切割器的手抦，然後向下按，便可確保在切割的時候圓心不會走位。這正因是較大的手抦設計，才比較容易捉緊呢。 所以它是"笨重"得有原因哦!

切割器的伸延部分附有量度尺，讓你輕鬆做出心目中大小圓形紙樣。

Designed by Making Memories, this Circle Cutter Deluxe ensures cutting of a perfect circle on paper.

In general, it is not common to find a good circle cutter in market. Last time I bought a simple one of brand - OLFA at LogOn. Yet, similar to most circle cutters, the pin easily slips off the circle centre when pressure is applied during cutting. Such experience often makes me annoyed as I really don't know if I should keep such a less perfect circle die-cut or do the cutting once again ^^!

This circle cutter deluxe, however, has a much bigger "hand-grip" that is much better for holding and applying pressure during cutting. You only need to hold the centre portion (hand grip with foam base) and press down during cutting, you will be able to get a perfect circle die-cut on paper without slip.

The circle cutter enable you to cut 2" to 9" circles. The detailed measurement guides on the blade holder ensure more accurate circles.

The original set offered by Making Memories contains 4 blades and 1 cutting mat as well.
