Red Wine on Wedding Guest Book Cover
First time working on NON-WHITE wedding guest books.
I had never met this client before she called me one day, asking about the details of ordering a wedding guest book. She did lay down some requirements, especially on the colors and the red wine logo cos all these have special meanings to her and her fiance.
Anyhow, she is a very kind lady and has been expressing her trust to my work right from the beginning over the phone. Honestly, I feel so glad about her turst to me... yet, I started to feel the pressure as at that time, I did not really know how a red wine logo could be well incorporated into a wedding guest book...
Not until sometime later, I thought I could make use of 'silhouette' in the design !!! I like 'silhouette'. It makes your work look artistic and adds a vintage touch too.
I thought I would do well for the one for their banquet as I would be using the same 'red wine' color for its cover... seem quite matching, right! But later on, when I was really working on the two guest books, I found I fall in love with the one in tiffany blue color! With the small white and creamy paper flowers around, the 'red wine' color can be tuned down a bit but still remains the focus of the guest book.

The book box was tailor-made to hold the two guest books inside. Those who have attended our book binding workshop in June would know the way to make the same book box... just that this time, it becomes a huge book box compared to the one we did in the workshop!
Indeed, it is no easy to make such book box with the scrapbook papers only in 12"x12". I must find ways to hide the seams nicely.
The whole project is now done... and she loves them. I am relieved that I did not let her down... ^^!
