People often question about the use of doilies (laser-cut paper) on scrapbooking. Depends on the laser cut patterns, we can use it as a whole or sometimes, we just cut out a slice of it for border decoration or a finishing touch to the background.

This project, perhaps, shows a simple but elegant application of doilies that is so perfect for wedding stationery.

A bit vintage and cottage-like style... this doilies was picked by the groom and loved at his first sight. Indeed, the groom himself is a designer too. So my main job here is more to share my viewpoints on how to fit the guest book and certificate cover   well into his chosen doilies. And of course, I need to make sure my craftsmanship is up to the standard for not ruining their good look in my mind! hahahaha

The two books are now done and I love their look very much myself!

Welcome Board

Thanks for Uncle SUN! Its re-appearance last Sunday after few rainy days was the greatest support to my good friend's wedding indeed !

I was very happy to meet some of my old classmates in university. I think, after we all left the campus and work, wedding is probably the great chance to be able to meet many of the others. I enjoyed every moment we chatted and laughed!  

Of course, we are all happy for our friend and feel grateful to be there to share one of his lifetime moments. =)

More than that, I also helped in the design of their wedding invitation and a welcome board.  

For their wedding to be held outdoor at Repluse Bay, their theme color is the pale olive color! I love this color very much myself for its softness and freshness when mixed with something in little yellow and creamy white. 

   

   

Wedding Invitation Card

As my little gifts to them, I have made two 4R photo folders, one for the bride and one for the groom. They can insert two photos side by side inside the folder for their home / office. 

I hope they find these folders useful for them to cherish their greatest moments.
