Beautiful Lace for a wedding certificate cover

Seems long time no updating the blog v_v! Ever since we moved out from our shop in Causeway Place, we have been kept working in our studio on a few tailor-made wedding stationery items which were all due before this year end.
December has always been a busy but happy period for all kinds of celebrations!
More is coming ...but for this one that we hope to share with you now is our design done in November. Look! the photos were still taken in our old shop! hahaha... If you have known us for some time, we have been doing quite a lot of tailor-made designs for wedding occasions and yet, this is the first time we were given a lace strip and were asked by the client to incorporate the material onto her wedding certificate cover.
The lace strip is a little gift from her best friend bought in France. Indeed, the lace strip looks elegant and delicate to me. And I truly believe that it would look great on any kind of wedding stationery.
Having said that, I couldn't agree more that this lace strip is no easy to use! I picked quite a variety of scrapbook papers that I thought it would look great as the background for the lace strip to lay upon. Yet, none of them seemed alright to me... not until I changed my mind completely to consider a one-tone color ... then I spotted this peach-color fabric paper in the basket =) And I knew this is it!
The creamy-white and peach color choice matched well with the style the couple asked for. And I just love too much the fabric texture that while it gives the same kind of warmness with the lace strip, it also gives a right tone of contrast as a background for everyone to feel the delicacy of the lace strip right on the spot!
