I love Greece and feel glad to have been there, at least once in my life!
Mykonos and Santorini are believed to be the best of the best for most people like me q(^o^)p!!
The spectacular views of the white-washed houses on high cliffs and the turquoise-blue color of the sea are just a perfect setting for any romantic moment!
And so, there is no surprise to me when I was asked to make a wedding guestbook with a theme like this.
This was indeed a difficult task...I still remember how I have gone through the design and production process though this project was already completed for the client quite sometime ago.
To produce the stunning effect of the maze of tiny cobblestone streets and the traditional blue dome of Greek churches, I actually started with sketches and sketches to make a good proportion of these important elements. With my hand-sketches in hand, I could then start cutting the pieces out from carefully-selected papers to give the right colors for the sea, the sky and the houses.
Each pieces were put into place on the guestbook cover at different view-depths to produce the kind of 3-D effect. When you open up the guest book, the scene on each cover connects with each other and immediately you'd feel the Aegean breeze and seem like you are actually walking though the streets and steps and passing along each white-washed house!
This is, by far, the most carefully hand-crafted design. We love it and the client loves it too. Thank you for giving us a chance to make a Greek-styled guestbook. The one and the only one in our profile!
