When my life as a designer...

A Newborn Me

from an engineer to a designer - a story of striving for getting dreams fulfilled
******************************************************************************************************************
It has been ages since the last time I wrote on this blog. Ever since I decided to close down the scrapbook store in Causeway Bay in 2012, my life has undergone another big change again. Yes, correct. I should mention this as the second big change in my life. Yet, at that point of time, I was feeling peacefully calm and quietly looking forward to start a new chapter of my life - to be a designer!

I do not know, now and then, if there will be someone on earth who has interest in reading my stories... I am just nobody. And I am a quiet person too. For this reason, I have never thought that I should write anything too personal on a public media like Facebook or blog ... probably NO.

出發吧! 去找一件做一輩子也不會膩的事!
Not until recently I have read two good books - 東京・我的畫畫之路 (Tokyo・My Painting Way) and 去倫敦上插畫課(London Illustrated), then I realised I could get so much energy by learning someone's experience and sharing the similarities.
學會人生歸零後的瓶頸面對。

Because of this, I am thinking perhaps it is not too bad to talk something about myself here, bit by bit, and day by day. If my stories can enlighten someone to go beyond, I would be too grateful. If not, I hope I have kept these pieces of writings as my journal, just good enough for me to look back when I'm old.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So here I am.

I was once a civil engineer. Now I am a designer. (I am glad that I can finally claim myself as a designer. You'll know why later.)

To many people I've met, they said my life is too dramatic.
But to me, changes just naturally happened ... when you follow your heart!
And luckily I had chances in my life to choose ... choose to listen to my heart.

Of course, nothing should be taken for granted. But if you got chances of doing things you love, the rest would be a matter of courage and passion to beat the unknown! For me, it has become a one-way journey. No matter where it's going to lead me, I have no way back.
